Sunday Runday LA
BRAND IDENTITY WEB DESIGN LOGO DESIGNMovement is medicine—it grounds us, connects us, and reminds us what it feels like to be fully alive.
That’s the purpose behind Sunday Runday LA, a local running community based in Downtown Los Angeles. I had the honor of helping the community translated that energy into a brand and website that makes it easy for anyone to find events, stay motivated, and connect with fellow runners.
The project consisted of two parts:
1. Brand and logo design: whipping up the brand from scratch
2. Web design: bringing the brand to life through an e-commerce site
RESULTS:
- 200% increase in social media engagement
- Brand partnership with New Balance
- Brand representation at LA Marathon, The Speed Project, and more
Part 1: Brand and Logo Design
Initial exploration
I partnered closely with Dom, the run club’s founder, to deeply understand the heart behind the movement—its reason for being, its audience, and the kind of energy it brings to people’s lives.
From there, I translated that purpose into bold, thoughtful design—exploring multiple logo directions and three distinct brand concepts that captured the spirit of the club. Together, we shaped an identity that felt true to its roots and inspiring to its future.
To better illustrate how the brand could live in practice, I designed social post concepts to showcase the brands in application.
Final Designs
After presenting the three concepts to my client, we settled on a combination of the concepts for the final design.
Brand Guidelines
I then developed a set of brand guidelines to assist my clients and other members on how to use the logo and colors to ensure accessibility and on-brand usage.

Part 2: Web Design
Ideation
After solidifying the brand, it was time to bring it to life through a website. I created wireframes to map out the general layout of each key webpage.
Final Designs
For the final site design, I focused on clear information hierarchy and color accessibility. My client shared which questions prospective members typically have, which informed my decision process for what information to prioritize.
